Boat Trailer Back Up Brake Release – Help!!
EZ Loader Boat Trailers have on average 3 ways to Allow your trailer to easily reverse with disc brakes.
- Blue Wire on Harness – This blue wire receives an electrical charge when your vehicle is placed into reverse. This electrical current energizes the lockout solenoid attached and located at the back side of the surge brake actuator. This actuator will stop the flow of fluid to the disc calipers. i.e., allowing the brakes to stay neutral allowing for reverse movement of your EZ Loader Boat trailer and tow vehicle.
- EZ Loader Boat Trailers normally will have a UFP by Dexter which is a Lockout Bracket or Key for an A60, A70 Actuator shown below.
- Top of Actuator is a Round Dial Push and Turn Counterclockwise approximately 15 degrees. When Trailer comes to Stop this will return to Lock Position.
This Trailer uses this lockout: https://411marine.com/product/ezloaderaluminumtrailers/ta102bt-18-21-4000-dx1-target-bunks/
